Please speak with your funeral director or Veteran’s Agent to apply for one.
Nemasket Hill Cemetery has a Veteran’s Trustee/Team that is working to ensure that each Veteran from King Phillip’s War to the present day (that are interred at Nemasket Hill Cemetery) is properly documented and has the correct medallion.
Every May prior to Memorial Day, they organize the placement of flags for over more than 700 Veterans to honor them.

Veterans Day is a U.S. legal holiday dedicated to American veterans of all wars. Veterans Day occurs on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, an armistice, or temporary cessation of hostilities, was declared between the Allied nations and Germany in World War I, then known as “the Great War.” Commemorated in many countries as Armistice Day the following year, November 11th became a federal holiday in the United States in 1938. In the aftermath of World War II and the Korean War, Armistice Day became known as Veterans Day.
Memorial Day is a federal holiday celebrated on the last Monday in May to remember those who lost their lives in the course of performing military duties to their country.
